We’re looking for a talented Product Designer to help shape the future of our platform. You’ll work closely with our founding Lead Product Designer to refine and expand our design system, build out high-quality UI/UX solutions in Figma, and help shape the product experience. There’s also room to take ownership of major features, driving design from concept to execution.

R&D is a Los Angeles based stealth-stage startup building a platform designed to transform how luminaries and partners connect, communicate and create culture. R&D is by artists, for artists.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and design to refine and implement new product features.
• Maintain and expand our design system and component library in Figma.
• Work fast and iterate quickly while ensuring high levels of detail and polish.
• Take ownership of specific initiatives and drive end-to-end design for new features.
• Contribute to user research, usability testing, and design validation.
• Support and work closely with developers to ensure seamless design handoff and implementation.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in product design, UI/UX, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, component libraries, and design systems.
• A balance of speed and attention to detail—able to iterate quickly without compromising on quality.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team that’s primarily based in AEST and PST time zones 🇦🇺🇺🇸
• In finding the perfect fit we're also open to full or part-time contract arrangements.
